What I specialize in

I specialize in grant writing, primarily in the life-related sciences (e.g., biology, agriculture, agrifood, conservation, biodiversity, sustainability, etc.). I help scientists (academics, RTOs), innovators (startups, SMEs), and nonprofit organizations transform their ideas and visions into formal grant applications. To achieve this, I focus on developing clear, impactful narratives that are grounded in science and feasible technologies.

I bring 20+ years of experience across scientific research (field, laboratory, and computational), operational research support (bioinformatics and DNA sequencing), and high-impact writing. My doctoral training in plant pathology also helps me connect science with the significance of circular economies, regulatory challenges, and policy.

I'm also certified in editing and proofreading, so I'll make sure that applications are not only impactful but also written as clear, precise, and readable narratives.

Previous projects

My early track record as a research scientist includes successfully funded grants from EU Commission's FP7 Marie Curie IIF program, the Agassiz Foundation, and other small, medium, and governmental grants.

Since 2025, I've been offering my expertise to help scientists and innovators develop attractive, targeted proposals. So far, I've supported multi-national consortia as a grant writer on a number of EU Horizon and similarly high-tiered grant proposals (Part B/technical sections). I'm also supporting a small nonprofit organization with local and regional grant applications.

How can I help you

I offer grant writing services to help my clients increase their chances of securing competitive funding and achieving their project goals.

Tailored support.

We'll discuss your project needs and vision, clarify the details of the narrative, and develop the proposal(s) via iterative feedback so that the final product(s) reflect your vision. Based on your concepts, I can either develop the full proposal or write just specific parts of the proposal. For example, I often get asked to write the impact sections because many people find them difficult to write.

What I can offer.

- Formal, professional grant narrative writing.

- Strong, polished writing styles of higher-tier grant proposals (e.g., for EU or federal grants), or simplified writing styles for broader reviewer audiences (e.g., for foundation grants).

- Translation of complex concepts into digestible, evaluator-friendly content.

- Scientific rigor built on 20 years of doing and supporting science.

- Clear, grammar-checked final products by a certified editor.

- Option of writing all or just sections of proposals.

- Critical review and improvement of proposals before (re)submission is also possible.
