The Carocell Solar Purification Water Farm is an off-grid, solar-powered system that produces safe drinking water from seawater, brackish water, polluted surface water, groundwater, and rainwater. The system uses a proven thermal distillation process, where solar heat evaporates contaminated source water and condenses it into purified, potable water. Because solids, salts, metals, and pathogens cannot evaporate, they are left behind, resulting in clean water suitable for drinking, cooking, washing, and cleaning.
Carocell systems are modular and scalable, delivered as Water Farm Kits in 5-panel increments. A typical 5-panel farm produces approximately 100–125 litres of potable water per day, combining distilled water and harvested rainwater, with output dependent on location and climate. The system operates entirely off-grid using solar energy, with no membranes, filters, chemicals, or complex electronics. It requires minimal maintenance, no technical expertise to operate, and has no ongoing consumable replacement requirements.
Designed for remote, rural, coastal, and island environments, Carocell Water Farms can be ground- or roof-mounted and installed quickly using simple tools. The technology is fully tested and certified to international drinking water standards and has been deployed globally for over a decade across thousands of installations, including schools, clinics, communities, agriculture, and humanitarian projects.
